Loyalty
My relationship with those I speak with is above all one of loyalty, like that of a lawyer to the person he represents. I make their concern my own, and in doing so I attend also to what stands in its way and to what no one has yet had in view.
Owners and decision-makers usually think within their own loyal structures and networks. Some matters, however, concern the person rather than the role or the house, and therefore call for conversations outside one’s own structures, with the same loyalty. Within the Psychological Private Office, I form this second, external line of loyalty, one that leaves those structures untouched.
Undivided Loyalty
Mandates presuppose that no conflicts of loyalty arise within the Psychological Private Office. Confidentiality alone is not enough for this, for knowledge cannot be set aside, however good the intention. Accordingly, no mandate is accepted or continued where knowledge from another would flow into it. The small number of concurrent mandates keeps this manageable. Should a conflict of loyalty nonetheless emerge in the course of a mandate, it is resolved discreetly as soon as it becomes apparent.
