Broad, empirically grounded, and enduring
Scientific psychology is the largest and most rigorously tested body of knowledge about human experience and behaviour. It is broad, empirically grounded, and enduring. Therapy and coaching each draw on only small fragments of this field, yet in everyday language they are often mistaken for psychology itself. This creates the impression that a clinical licence is proof of psychological expertise, although it applies only to a therapeutic sub‑domain.
Scientific psychology is, at first, abstract. Left unused, it remains a stack of books. It takes a distinct competence to translate this knowledge into something clear, accessible, and genuinely helpful for people. I do not represent the entirety of psychology – but from the beginning I chose to work from this source. Nearly three decades have shown how reliable this approach is, and how quickly it can create clarity, stability, and tangible relief.
When people understand what is happening within them and why, self‑efficacy emerges: the ability to steer oneself rather than being steered by internal emergency programmes. “The most discreet psychologist is the one you no longer need – because you have understood.”
